Nice picture you have there.
BTW where did you get that F12006 will be our last F1 ? I wonder coz we never received anything form FIA regarding this so far..
And A1 GP, yes there's no crowd as F1. Just let me clarify that SIC was not the organizer & Promoter. Even we get all the details 2 weeks before the event.
Organizer for A1 GP Would be Parallel Media Asia. Those who went last event would see the diff which this organizer selling their ticket at welcome center not at our ticket counter.
But please if you guys out there have suggestion or any comment can email us at sic@malaysiangp.com.my.
I received this comment from Ann of the SIC. I hereby invite fellow fps to direct suggestions to her above email address to better 2006 F1 event. I have emailed her my opinions.
It was an honour for Ann and the SIC to have read my fp entries on the A1 GP ( I hope she has read all my previous F1 entries as well ). I am sure she would also have read the various negative and positive comments and I hope these feedbacks will act as a basis for SIC's future actions. Similarly, I hope Parallel Media Asia will also respond positively to the comments forwarded by my fellow fotopagers.
Personally bro, I think SIC have done well in promoting & marketing the F1 over the years. But I think more should be done to promote the F1 among average Malaysians, people on the street, people who are really afford to watch. I remember going to Batu Tiga for so many races with my dad when I was small and the crowd was really fantastic during each race. Malaysians love motorsports, but most are just average wage earners who cannot really afford the high price set for F1. Fri 2-Dec-2005 13:54

jeff's comment is valid. the F1 has yet to reach the masses. the public impression is that its the sport for the rich.
maybe many do not know that during the F1, the open seat at C1 and C2 were priced at RM30 only. i am sure this is within reach of many motor sports lovers. the entrance fees for MotoGP and A1 GP were even cheaper.
This is very.. how should i put it.. productive. Or at least positive development, where big organizers like SIC are keen to respond to things we (nobody) said. Doesn't matter if those things we said are wrong.. at least they take a glance. Good idea comes from anywhere. Having someone to respond would encourage ppl like us (at least like me) to try to contribute. One simple thing that i believe is.. if SIC wanted ppl like us to go for F1 or any other races.. they should ask us directly of what we want to see. I'm sure SIC gives their contact information like email.. or forum for fans to spit out ideas, but lay and leave it there won't do much. Congrats to Chan for a good starter.. from a pretty odd site to talk about racing promotions. Since this is about photography.. will a photography contest about F1 or A1 help the promotion strategy..? I guess it's cost effective. Havin a couple of DSLRs as prizes won't really be a big matter, will it..? And get the judge to select a picture taken from an ordinary consumer camera might do the trick to widen the target market. Just my 1/2 cents...
that was a brilliant suggestion indeed Budin. I hope ms ann will read your suggestion. PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST is certainly a bright idea. we could relay the information to malaysia-fotopages and i am sure a horde of fps will be there.
Thanks for the email Chan. appreciate it.
Chan i need more info regarding C1 & C2 for RM30??
As far as i concern our lowest ticket price for F1 would be RM100.00.
